In COVID-19 related operations, access to products, devices, services, and environmental considerations are a basic need for those who are Deaf or hard of hearing. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act, individuals who are Deaf or hard of hearing must be provided access to effective and appropriate virtual or in-person sign language interpretation and textual English communication. It is important to plan how you will be able to communicate with doctors, nurses, and other staff at the hospital.
